On the afternoon of November 28, staff from the Qinling Zhongnanshan UNESCO Global Geopark Management Center visited the “China Qinling Landform Photography Exhibition” at the Xian Tumen Workers’ Cultural Center. The event also served as a learning session with the theme “Appreciating Landscapes Through Light and Shadow, Taking Action to Protect Qinling.”
The photographs on display combined artistic beauty with scientific insight, capturing Qinling’s geological grandeur and ecological vitality—from granite peaks and winding valleys to seasonal forests and native wildlife. Each image illustrated the region’s diverse landforms, rich ecosystems, and enduring natural history. The editor of the exhibition provided background commentary, explaining geological formations and biodiversity, which offered visitors an engaging visual lesson in earth science. Through this exhibition, participants gained a deeper understanding of the principle that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,” reinforcing their commitment to protecting Qinling’s ecology and promoting the sustainable development of the global geopark.
The visit was not only as a visual experience but also as professional enrichment. The Management Center will translate these insights into concrete actions, furthering its mission to preserve Qinling’s natural and geological heritage.
