In August 2009, Qinling Zhongnanshan Geopark was accepted as a member of the GGN, which is supported by UNESCO. This global geopark status has to be reevaluated every four years, so Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark is being revalidated this year.
On 23rd of July, Qinling Zhongnanshan Global Geopark is revalidated by Dr. Mohd. Shafeea Leman (Malaysia) and Mahito Watanabe (Japan) from GGN.
